This place has been open for little over a year. Best sushi and they also have other dishes. The place is big but it gets full on the weekends I recommend to make reservations. The service is great. They serve your food fast. We ordered some appetizers before our food and everything was good. We definitely will go back.

I really liked my Korean Kalbi hot plate except for the fact that the meat was served on a bed of onions. I will definitely order them without the onions next time. But, this is a very good plate of Korean Kalbi. It was so tasty. The vegetables that came with it, not so much. I ordered regular white rice instead of garlic butter rice because I have never had garlic butter rice in my life. $37 The bf had a bevy of sushi. We also had some spicy edamame and gyoza. The sushi took a long time to come out. I was practically done with my meat by the time he was served. That was too bad. The place was pretty crowded for a Saturday night. Loud. People watching the Dodgers on their phones.

Our dining experience at Yumi was wonderful! Our server Franklin was attentive and very friendly. We had a Caliente Roll and a Bento Box. Food was fresh and of excellent quality. Beautiful presentation as well. This was our third time here and we'll definitely continue to come back for a fine dining experience.

FINALLY got the chance to try this place out. I've been seeing their IG stories and they always do a great job on their social media showing off their deals and delicious dishes. It always seems like they have a BOGO, Happy Hour, or monthly special here, ALSO whoever reshares stories with NANA and other manga/anime references, I SEE YOU and you NEED A RAISE lol. I haven't been to a lot of places in Pico Rivera, but I have to say that I really like the interior of the restaurant. Lots of Japanese decor and I like the "elegant wooden" feel if that makes any sense. I bet it looks even nicer at night. They have booth seating, table seating, and sushi bar seating. I came during a Friday lunch and was seated immediately. The waitresses checked up on me many times during my visit. I got their: 1) Mini Uni Toro Don: -This was their January special. -Lovely aesthetically pleasing presentation, great for Instagram. -Fresh uni and I love negitoro, so this was the perfect dish for me. -Comes with a plentiful amount of nori so you can make your own handrolls as well. -I'd definitely get this again. 2) Blue Crab Hand Roll: -Comes with its own little stand, I think it's quite cute. -Not fishy like at some other places. Super rich and creamy. -Dense and filling roll. Very yummy. 3) Spicy Tuna Roll: -Not very spicy, but definitely higher quality than some other simple spicy tuna rolls. -They added some sesame oil for this to taste. Not bad! Can't wait to come back here again to get their sashimi or to try their omakase!

This place has amazingly fresh and flavorful fish! Had a reservation for a dinner table on Wednesday night. I was surprised how packed it was for a weekday evening but then I noticed the great specials they have on Tuesdays and Wednesdays: BOGO $1 beers and %50 sushi rolls. We ordered a few rolls and the chirashi bowl. Everything was so delicious! The rice was super flavorful. Loved the decor. Very modern yet classic Japanese decor. Will definitely return to this place soon!
